2. What personal data we process

Depending on how you use our store, we may process contact and address data, order and transaction data, account data, communication content, device and usage data, and information required for payment, delivery, returns and customer support.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process personal data where this is necessary to perform a contract or take steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), where required.

4. Shopify

Our online store is operated using Shopify. Shopify provides the technical shop infrastructure and may process personal data in connection with operating the store, checkout, payments, fraud prevention, analytics and other commerce functions. Data may also be processed outside the European Economic Area where legally permitted and subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Orders, payment and fulfilment

When you place an order, we process the information required to accept, process, pay for, produce and deliver your order. Depending on the selected payment method and fulfilment process, data may be shared with payment providers, production/fulfilment partners and shipping carriers to the extent necessary to perform the contract.

For production and fulfilment we may use PODpartner where applicable. Only the information required to fulfil the order is shared for this purpose.

6. Pre-orders

We use a Shopify app to manage pre-orders. Where the app processes personal data, this is done only to the extent necessary to provide the pre-order functionality and manage your order.

7. Newsletter

If you subscribe to the KERAUN newsletter, we use your email address to send you product, release and brand updates. Marketing emails are sent on the basis of your consent unless another legal basis applies. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.

8. Contact

If you contact us by email or through the contact form, we process the information you provide in order to respond to your request and, where applicable, to handle contractual or pre-contractual matters.

9. Cookies, analytics and similar technologies

Our store uses technically necessary cookies and similar technologies required to operate the website and checkout. Optional analytics, personalisation or marketing technologies are used only where permitted by law and, where required, after your consent through the consent banner.

10. Social media links

Our website may link to KERAUN profiles on external platforms such as Instagram. When you follow such a link, the privacy rules of the respective platform apply.

11. Recipients and international transfers

Personal data may be disclosed to service providers that support us with shop operation, payment processing, fulfilment, shipping, customer service, marketing and IT services. If data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an applicable legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses, where required.

12. Storage period

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Commercial and tax records may be subject to longer statutory retention periods.

13. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
